Whirling Away

at the end of a long day,
I love to go back through the pictures I've taken of the smallest moments and think back on...
what made them so special
what made me smile
what made me want to remember

the last 48 hours have been an absolute whirl-wind

1. Trevor got an offer from a dream company, albeit an awful location (Ann Arbor, aka freezing temperatures, very small town)
2. I'm getting flown out to Dallas for 2nd round interviews for an awesome company
3. Realization that Trevor will probably be in Ann Arbor, MI and I'll be in Dallas, TX (1,165 miles away) for at least the next year post-grad before he can relocate
4. We're in the absolute crux of finals (papers, exams, so much coffee)

all of this terrifies me
trevor and i have only been together for 4 months, but it's amazing
and now we're going to be long distance
what good is facetime/skype when you can't hold the hand of the person on the other end, can't curl up beside them or kiss them goodnight?
how do you move beyond fights when your only means of interaction is digital? when there's no one to wipe away tears?

jeez.

too soon to process all of this, so for now I'm just going to focus on the photos...

 the essential study snacks --
1) supreme pretzel crisps (basically everything bagel crispy pretzels)
2) roasted garlic hummus (no kissing boys)
3) carrots (alternate dipping tool)
4) raspberries + blackberries (gotta have those antioxidants)
5) COFFEE

 spinning class study break
w/ ahna + ellie + some crazy house music
all fitness classes are free this week at our school, so we took advantage

the tree trevor and i were laying under when i could literally feel my feelings for him double inside of me... butterflies, nervous giggles, nausea... the whole 9 yards

trevor.
he hates this picture
but i love it
most genuine smile
most genuine guy
DIBS

kayaks lined up along the potomac river on the georgetown side
looking forward to renting one next week as part of pre-grad festivities

following a (very) lazy morning, trevor and i decided to walk over to Rosslyn, VA to the food trucks
decided on lemongrass, a vietnamese foodtruck
tacos + banh mi + bubble tea = perfection

trevor reading his offer email
so proud of him
7 days to decide

distance from Ann Arbor --> Dallas
 1,165 miles

when we were over in Rosslyn today there were all of these knitted ornaments hanging from trees in a small central park area
I loved it
even trees want to wear scarves sometimes
